The Biomedical node of the Australian Proteome Analysis Facility is taking shape and a range of high-end
technologies are being commissioned to aid discoveries in proteomics. Services will commence mid 2004.

The Molecular Biotechnology Program at The University of Sydney convenes a Proteomics Symposium - The Age of the Proteome: Current Progress and Future Challenges - attended by over 100 scientists from throughout Australia.

The Australian Commonwealth Government under its Backing Australia's Ability Initiative has awarded $16.25M to the Australian Proteome Analysis Facility over 5 years with the majority of funds made available from 2003 that will allow a biomedical node to be established at The University of Sydney. >> more (pdf)
